How do I have a conversation?

Sign in, then tell Mintza the language you speak, the one you are learning, your level, a few interests, and pick a teacher voice. Tap Start conversation and just talk: your AI teacher listens, replies out loud in real time, and corrects you as you go. Tap to end whenever you like.

What devices is Mintza available on?

iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android. Your account, minutes, and subscription work across all of them, just sign in with the same Apple or Google account.

Which languages can I practice?

Fifteen: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Greek, Chinese, Russian, Turkish, Swedish, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, and Hebrew. You can practice any of them from any of the others.

Are my conversations recorded or listened to?

No. We never record your audio, no person listens in, and we never keep a transcript of what you say. While you talk, your voice is streamed live to Google Gemini so your teacher can understand you and reply, used only in that moment, then gone. The only thing we save is your teacher's last few lines, as text, so you can resume later.

What AI provider does Mintza use?

Google Gemini. Your teacher runs on Google's Gemini Live model, which understands your speech and replies by voice in real time. It is the only AI provider Mintza uses, and the app reminds you of this before every conversation.

How does resuming a conversation work?

When a conversation ends, Mintza saves your teacher's last few lines as text, not audio. Open the Talk tab and tap Continue last conversation, and your teacher picks up from where you left off in that language. Your own speech is not part of this; only the teacher's recent text is kept.

Is Mintza free, and what do the plans include?

Yes, free to start: every new account gets 10 free minutes, which never expire. For more practice, three monthly plans add minutes: Basic 180 minutes, Plus 360 minutes, and Pro 600 minutes per month. It is a subscription that renews monthly, and the price is shown in the app in your local currency.

Do my minutes roll over or expire?

Your 10 free minutes never expire. Plan minutes refresh to the full amount on each monthly renewal and do not roll over, so unused plan minutes are not carried into the next month. Any bonus minutes we give you never expire, and they are used after your plan minutes.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Open Account and tap Manage subscription, which takes you to your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, since billing is handled by the store, not by Mintza. Manage it on the store you originally subscribed through, even if you are now on a different device. You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

What happens when I switch phones or use Mintza on another device?

Your account lives with your Apple or Google sign-in, so sign in with the same one and your minutes, plan, and settings come back automatically. Premium follows your account across devices and platforms; just remember to manage billing on the store you bought it from.

Does Mintza work offline?

No. Conversations happen in real time with the AI, so Mintza needs an internet connection. There is no offline mode.

How do I delete my account and all my data?

Open Account and tap Delete account. You will need to cancel an active subscription first, in the App Store or Google Play. This permanently removes your personal data; we keep only anonymized billing records and a de-identified sign-in marker that prevents repeated free trials.
