Mintza

Mintza is developed and operated by Paintingstack.

What we collect

• Voice audio is streamed in real-time to Google Gemini for conversation responses. We do not store, record, or retain any voice audio. Brief teacher-side conversation context is kept to allow you to resume conversations.
• Account identity: when you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email (or Apple’s private relay email) to identify your account across devices.
• Profile data: your language preferences, level, topics, voice selection, and personal notes. Stored on our servers to personalize your conversations.
• Subscription data: your subscription tier and purchase status, validated through Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Usage data: session count and duration to enforce minute limits and improve the product.

Third-party services

• Google Gemini processes your voice conversations in real-time. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In handle authentication. See Apple’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store and Google Play handle subscription billing. We do not process or store payment information.

Analytics and crash reporting

We use privacy-focused analytics and error tracking, both hosted on our own infrastructure. No personal identifiers, no cookies, no third-party tracking.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell or share data with third parties
• We don’t show ads
• We don’t use third-party tracking SDKs
• We don’t store voice recordings
• We don’t collect your location, contacts, or photos

Data storage

Your profile data and account information are stored on our servers. All communication uses HTTPS encryption.

Your control

You can delete your account and all personal data anytime, right from the app: Account > Delete all data. It’s immediate and removes your personal data, including your email, name, and conversation content. We retain a de-identified sign-in identifier to prevent repeated free-trial signups, along with anonymized billing and subscription records we are required to keep. Account deletion cannot be undone. If you ever lose access to the app, email privacy@paintingstack.com and we’ll delete your account for you, usually within a few days.
