In Sketches, tap + and choose Gallery or Camera. The drawing appears as soon as the photo loads.

The controls sit under your image in the editor, or beside it on a wide screen. Three sections shape the drawing:

• Line: the instrument, from a fineliner to charcoal, its color, and how detailed, bold and loose the line is
• Hatching: the shading, from stipple to mezzotint. Coverage sets how much. Tap the chosen shading again to turn it off.
• Surface: the paper, whose grain changes the line. On Kraft a charcoal stroke breaks up. On Black or Blueprint you draw in white chalk, pulling the light out of the dark.

Yes. Skisa comes with a few templates you can put on any photo. With Premium you can save your own: tap Save template when a drawing looks right, and one tap puts that setup on the next photo.

It saves only the lines, as a PNG with nothing behind them. You can then lay the drawing over a photo, a color or another drawing in any app. Turn on Transparent background when you export. It’s free.

Skisa is free to use, with no time limit and no watermark. Premium is one payment, not a subscription. You see the price in your currency before you pay, and Apple or Google handles the payment.

No. Your Premium is still yours. It belongs to your App Store or Google Play account.

1. Open the Premium tab.
2. Tap Restore purchase.

Use the same account you bought with. There’s no separate login. Apple and Google are separate stores, so a purchase on iPhone does not carry over to Android.

Tap the export button at the top of the editor, or Export in the three dots on a sketch in Sketches. Then:

• iPhone and iPad: the share sheet opens. Choose Save Image to keep it in Photos.
• Android: choose Save to put it in your gallery, in the Skisa album, or Share to send it.
• Mac: choose a folder to save it in.

Yes. Your photos and sketches are saved on your device and never uploaded, and there’s no account.

Skisa sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, tied to a random ID. They carry no images and nothing that identifies you. Their only job is to help us make Skisa better.

Uninstalling Skisa removes your sketches, so export anything you want to keep.
