Privacy Policy
Kountrain is a workout journal that keeps your training on your device. This policy explains what we collect, what we don’t, and the control you have.
Your workouts stay on your device
Your full workout history, body details, and settings are stored only on your device. We don’t sync or back them up anywhere, and uninstalling the app removes them.
What leaves your device
A few anonymous things leave your device, tied to a random ID (not your name or email):
- Usage analytics to understand how the app is used: which screens you use, plus your device and app details and whether you have Premium. It runs on our own servers, so no outside company receives it.
- When you log or edit a set, we also receive the exercise, the number of reps, and whether it was a personal record, as an anonymous event, so we can understand how people train. We never receive when you trained, your body details, or anything that identifies you.
- Crash reports with the device type and technical details of a crash. No name, no email, and none of your workout history.
- Feedback: if you send feedback or email us, we receive your message and anything you include, like a screenshot, so we can reply.
- Purchases: if you buy Premium, the App Store or Google Play processes the payment and tells us it succeeded so we can unlock it.
What we don’t do
- We don’t create user accounts
- We don’t sell your data, or share it with advertisers or data brokers
- We don’t show ads
- We don’t use third-party tracking
Your control
Your workouts stay on your device. Delete any workout or exercise inside the app, and uninstalling the app removes your workout history. Deletion inside the app is immediate and cannot be undone. On iOS, a little technical data in the system keychain (your purchase status and the random analytics ID) can remain after uninstall; it stays anonymous, and reinstalling resets your purchase status.
